... hit our country. Also, it was the result of ruthless illegal loggers, who doesn’t know the meaning of “malasakit” in every word.
At last, we reached our destination, Abyawin Infanta, Quezon. We headed to the public school, the designated place for the distribution of the relief goods. Barangay folks ran after us and very eager to get a share of the goodies that would alleviate a little the predication that they unfortunately found themselves in.
You can see and feel how very thankful they were even if goods distributed were seemed only bits and pieces compared to others. But what important is, we were able to reach out and extend a helping hand that was able to put a smile on their faces on that day. . . . . . . . . . . . . .
We always complain on a lot of things, on why this and that happened. We complain why we don’t have brand new clothes on Christmas - these people are contented with old hand over clothes; we complain that we don’t have a feast for dinner - these people are contented with only rice and water; we complain we have a small house to live - these people live on the side of the road with only a piece of cloth serving as roof for protection from heat and rain. Now, are we still going to complain?
Lastly, may this serve as our eye-opener to all of us to cherish God’s gift to this land - life, beauty and bounty that we may able to give back respect to Mother Nature.

Dear ALL,
MARAMING SALAMAT PO!
In behalf of my kabarangays, Bgy, Abiawin, Infanta, Quezon, I would like to thank everyone for extending help to us in this very difficult time.
The devastation that has hit us is totally unimaginable to us all. We have lived in the area so quietly practically all our lives. For what happened, it seems we are still unable to pull ourselves together and live as normal as possible. We have lost our livelihood, our homes and our love ones. But we have to move on.
My kabarangays were all happy to receive the goodies. According to them, this is the first time that every family in the barangay was able to get a share. The relief goods usually ran out upon reaching the town proper and almost nothing is left for distribution to the barrios.
I chanced upon our Mayor, Ms. Filipina “Grace” America, who, upon learning our mission in the place yesterday, said “Please extend my warmest appreciation and thanks to your company’s generosity, your sympathy and concern for us, that is truly the Christmas gift that gives us strength and determination to live on”
For the staff, who purchased the goodies for us, Ms. Jasmin Pascua, Ms. Tina Panes and Ms. Rochel Bernardo, my deepest thanks..
For the staff who helped us packed all the 500 bags of goodies and loot bags for the kids, Messrs Bong Jacob, Benjo Dematera, Rex Dalmacio, Mon Orca, Alfred Galler, Manny Yola, & Louie Compas, S/G Julito Barballo & Tony Agati, Mmes Rochel Bernardo, Irene Cabrito, Cris Alcoran, Jho Gueco, Anne Lozada, Marilyn Murillo, Karen Valle & Maricel Lumbang, thank you so much..

For all my fellow Yusen employees from all areas and departments, who contributed their own money and donated their used clothes, to help my kabarangays, maraming salamat po. I wish I could thank you one by one, but the donation were given anonymously. Please accept my thanks to you all.

At syiempre po, this project will never have been a reality without the initiative of Sir APTugade. Sir, maraming maraming salamat po for all your help, not only in this project but for all you have done to me. You have challenged and inspired me, all these years. You have taken care of me and now you take care of my kabarangays. Sir, I can’t thank you enough, Diyos na po ang bahalang gumanti ng utang ko sa inyo.
