Toshiba Information Equipment (Philippines), Inc. (TIP). Is a premier source for the manufacture of leading edge storage devices and technologically advanced equipment for the mobile computing industry. The factory produces notebooks for Portege, Tecra and satellite series. Models that have come out from this factory include Tecra M1; Portege 3500, A100, M100, M200, R100 and Satellite 2450, A10, A20, M30.
Located in the Laguna Technopark in the Philippines, TIP is a fully Toshiba-owned, global supply factory that that produce notebooks for all Toshiba sales sites around the world. To determine production volume, demand forecast for notebook production are gathered from various subsidiaries and consolidated inTIP’s information System for the final production volume. Next global procurement of parts and components takes place on a weekly basis. Some parts such as Hard disks and PCBs are manufactured in-house in the factory. When all the parts and components are ready, the notebooks are assembled by hand, tested and then boxed up.
Key Manufacturing Process
Toshiba Information Phils (TIP) is one of Laguna North’s top account and has been a loyal customer of Yusen Phils since 1996. They have been partners with TIP since there establishment. They have been awarded PEZA’s Top exporter of the Year for a number of times and employs around 5,000 people. Yusen handles all service types for Toshiba: Air Export, Air Import, Sea Export, Sea Import and Domestic. They export to countries such as Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore and USA. Yusen’s relationship with TIP is strengthened through competitive rates, complemented by a passion to serve and exceed customer expectations.
