YUSEN Cebu Branch Welcomes YANO-SAN

          Yusen Cebu was greatly honored with the visit of the Vice President of Yusen Japan, Mr. Shunichi Yano last January 25, 2005. Everyone was so excited to meet him, which he enthusiastically returned with a big smile and at same time expressed his delight by congratulating Yusen Cebu’s team for its consistent impressive performance.  

          Yano-san together with our Mr. Kiyoshi Sogawa did a courtesy call to Cebu Mitsumi’s Managing Director, Mr. Nobuyuki Suzuki and General Manager Yoshio Mr. Yamada.  The day culminated with a sumptuous dinner of Yano-san together with the Yusen Cebu officers and sales team. This was really the close encounter with Yano-san!! He made us all feel comfortable and truly enjoyed his company. Once again, he expressed his sincere appreciation on the efforts of Yusen Cebu Team and he encouraged everyone to continue the good work which has been started. 

          The interaction was really informative as Yano-san shared with us sales pointers.   Yano-san is a very fun to be with. He shared jokes with us, made us all laugh with his stories and told us his numerous travel experiences.

          Everyone really enjoyed this short interaction with Yano-san.  It was indeed such a wonderful experience to meet and dine with a man of stature like him.  After dinner, we bade him good night as he had an early flight to catch the following morning.  

          To Yano-san, thank you very much for the wonderful time and the confidence you bestowed on us!!

YUSEN Philippines Welcomes New EXPAT

          Barely one month in Yusen Philippines, Mr. Masahiro Abe has already captured the attention and admiration from Yusen employees.  His ready smile for everyone and his simplicity are the traits that really admired by the employees.

          Born on June 7, 1973.  He has only one brother who is one year senior than him. He studied Eastern Asia History more particularly the trading system of Okinawa in middle ages.  He replaced Mr. Katsuhiro Shimada who has given Yusen five (5) fruitful years in service. Prior to his assignment in Manila, Abe-san holds the position of  Customer Service staff at Yoyogi Export branch together with Mr. Yoshinao Tanaka, now YPH CS Manager when he joined Yusen Japan last April 1, 1998.  By 2000, he was transferred to Ota office in Saikyo Export branch and handled the sales for five years. 

          His proven expertise in sales will definitely be an advantage for Yusen Philippines. Mr. Abe expects that he will be more productive in his new position as he was in his homeland.  Teamwork and cooperation are just some of his main concerns.  He is happy to meet kind and earnest staff and supportive management.

          Welcome aboard Abe-san your Yusen Philippines family is equally excited to work with you!!!

APT Hosts Dinner Party

          Friends and associates in the industry are aware of APT’s penchant for hosting fun-filled and exciting parties. It is APT’s way of expressing appreciation to his many business partners, stakeholders, and friends. 

          March 3, 2005, APT hosted the dinner party in honor of the delegates of the 7^th SAOR MNA meeting at his residence.  Warm greetings, firm hand shakes, and memories from the old times among the participants filled APT’s house as soon as the delegates arrived.  Mrs. Marisol Tugade, APT’s  loving wife arranged a superb and delicious buffet, which include succulent lobsters that everyone truly enjoy.

           After dinner, Ms. Sari Safianti, Sales Manager of Yusen Indonesia, started the singing galore and there everybody really had a tremendous fun and laughter as they swayed and moved their bodies with the music. Mr. Andoy Perez, Yusen Phils  Asst General Manager and Seafreight Manager went around and toast Sake to everyone.  

           It was so amazing to see that people from different races and culture gathered together having so much fun as if they knew each other very well for so long. Well, everybody had reason to be jubilant because each and everyone have contributed to make sure that the MNA meeting will be a success…and they succeeded! 

         Overall, the night went far beyond in making the7th MNA SAOR meeting a success; it brought unforgettable experience and special bond among the participants.
