Fujitsu Ten Corp of The Philippines: North Laguna's # 1 Automotive Account |
THE POSSIBILITIES ARE INFINITE Ever wondered what powers the sound of Toyota’s newest Innova? Well, the 2 DIN in dash CD player with 6 speakers of this highly saleable vehicle is made by one of Yusen’s major account and Laguna North’s number 1 automotive account, Fujitsu Ten Corporation of the Philippines. Fujitsu Ten Corp of the Philippines has a special nickname among Yusen employees. Probably, the “SMS or text messaging culture” has also invaded Yusen that Fujitsu Ten is often referred among Yusen staff as F10. It only shows how Yusen Philippines has considered this account their own and has valued its loyalty for more than 5 years.
F10 is located at Laguna Technopark in Sta. Rosa, Laguna which is just 3 minutes away from Laguna North’s office at MDD. They are involved in the manufacture and sales of car audio equipment and car electronic devices. It was established in August of 1990. It’s major stockholders are Fujitsu Ten Ltd Japan (75%) and Fujitsu Ten Singapore PTE Ltd (25%). Yusen Philippines is able to offer all service types to Fujitsu Ten such as seafreight and airfreight forwarding both domestic and international. The Logistics team of F10 headed by Mr. Benny Catahan (Dept. Manager) and Ms. Elaine Paguila (Section Manager) have been very supportive of Yusen that the business relationship between the two companies prove to be beneficial for both parties in such a way that the two companies exchange ways and ideas in order to improve the logistics and supply chain process.

Established In September 1973 as a joint venture with F. L. Torres, Yazaki-Torres Manufacturing Inc. (YTMI) makes wiring harnesses, automobile instruments, battery cables and other automotive parts. Among its customers overseas are Toyota, Ford, Nissan, and Mazda. Yazaki-Torres, which employs 9,000 people and generates P9.1 billion in annual revenue, is the country's biggest producer of wiring harness and the largest exporter of auto parts. When President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo called on the private sector to help alleviate poverty, it stirred YTMI to action. The Kabalikat sa Hanapbuhay, established in April 2002, was designed to develop individuals and communities by offering livelihood and skills training programs. It is through the Kabalikat program that Yazaki-Torres strives to give back to the community. The company chose the towns of Tanauan, Malvar, Talisay and Santo Tomas in Batangas province and Calamba town in Laguna province as the initial beneficiaries of the program because most Yazaki-Torres employees are based there. Yazaki Torres is one of the top accounts of Laguna since 1999.
