YAS Phils. Conducted Seminar for Toyota Suppliers (cont...)

So, on July 29, 2005, armed with the presentation and other logistic support, Ms. Olive Medina, after the heartwarming welcome speech of Mr. Enoki, who also happened to be the president of the Toyota Suppliers Club, interestingly expounded our company’s SECURITY MEASURES and FLEET MAINTENANCE PROGRAM at the Toyota Motors Plant. The event was attended by about 50 representatives of the TSC members.

Highlights of the presentation were the security measures adapted by YAS Phils., which earned the Technology Asset Protection Association (TAPA) Class “A” certification in June 2005. Ms. Medina was supported by Ms. Andi Homecillo and Mr. Nonoy Abales, our TAPA officer and auditor respectively. In connection with these security measures, the policy on subcontractor trucker accreditation together the training programs of drivers and loaders and the preventive maintenance program were discussed.

Most exciting part of the presentation was the actual demonstration of YAS Phils GPS function wherein our truck’s engine was shut off through a GPS engine shut off command from our warehouse 2, some 40 kms away from the seminar venue.

YAS Phils. Vice President, Mr. Rustico Arvesu together with Mr. Ishikawa, Mr. Masahiro Abe and Ms Maricar Sangil graced the event with their presence and supported the whole team on queries from the participants on cargo and security policy concerns if there was any.

It was likewise a learning experience the Yusen Team, as the participants were very eager to share their own experiences on preventive/corrective measures on hi-hacking. Remarks both positive and negative from various participants specific to YAS Phils services were well taken also, as those challenged them to further enhance YAS Phils service standards.
