So, on July 08, 2006, the first Yusen Philippines Badminton Tournament officially opened by ceremonial serve of our GM Airfreight Mr. Leo Tagle and DM Airfreight operations Mr. Jojo Gonzales. Mr. Benny Catahan led the oath sportsmanship.

Heartwarming could only be the sole description for the receptions we got from clients right the start of this project. A total of 112 participants from 40 accounts!! That's quite a number for a first invitational. Groups were divided into 8 color teams - Red, Gold, Gray, Black, Green, Orange, Royal Blue and Yellow.
The whole event took the whole day from the registration at 7:00 AM to the
awarding at 6:00PM. Everyone got the real heat from the day's rally, smash and kill. Lunch and snacks prepared by Yusen Phils were shared with laughter and getting joyfully acquainted with one another without the pressure of pick ups and deliveries. Heat and sweat got doused by bottles and bottles of water and cooled by Fiorgelato ice cream courtesy of Transglobal.
The day concluded with the awarding of winners and appreciation plaques for all companies that participated in the event. Our President, Atty Arthur Tugade graced the event as well with his presence.
