Landslide Donations
On February 17, 2006, a series of mudslides caused widespread damage and loss of life in Guinsaugon, Southern Leyte. The deadly landslides followed a ten-day period of heavy rains and a minor earthquake causing more pain and miseries to our fellow Filipinos in the area.
Yusen Phils through the admin department immediately organized "Operations Guinsaugon". This provided opportunities for employees who would like to extend help or donate whatever items they feel the calamity affected area would need. The employees are just too willing to put all the help they could give with many donations we got.

There were old clothes, shoes and slippers (new) and very nice surprise - somebody brought quite a number of new mats. He said that the mats would be very useful for those in the evacuation areas where people would truly in need of sleeping mats. For Yusen Phils part, we donated medicines for colds, fever, vitamins, and antibiotics as requested by the doctors from the Operations Blessings.
Operation Blessing Foundation Philippines, Inc. (OB) is a non-profit humanitarian aid foundation that provides short-term medical, disaster relief, feeding and community development assistance to economically disadvantaged people in the Philippines and Asia. It is through this organization that Yusen Phils is able to extend assistance to group of people in dire need but we could not reach on our own.

TAPA & Security Awareness Seminar
As part of the TAPA (Technology Asset Protection Association) initiatives of Yusen Phils, an annual security Awareness Seminars is sponsored by the company for the Trucking Operators, Drivers, Loaders, warehousemen together with our operations employees.
The security awareness seminar aims to make the participants understand the relationship between security and successful operations, know each obligation under the security program, understand the relationship of the security programs objectives and the selected measures and to be familiar with the sources of help under the security program.
More importantly, participants being the doers in the company operations are made to be aware of the presence of the security program and that they being the active component of the program should must make certain that it is effective and implemented.
